Canadian singer-songwriter Dion Todd isn’t new to the game, but last year he ended his hiatus and has come back with new songs and collaborations that you can hardly resist dancing to.
For some background, Dion Todd struck fame as a writer in the late 90s with his single “Maybe,” which was quickly picked up by radio stations and dance charts. A year later he debuted a second single, “Magic,” for which he was nominated for a Canadian East Coast Music Award.
Now that he’s back in the game, Todd is drawing upon the raw emotions of his experiences to create new and beautiful things. One of his singles, a “Rocketship State of Mind” is a feels-on-the-dance-floor kind of song, tailored perfectly with the help of Grammy-nominated artists to make you think each time you give the lyrics a listen.
Todd’s second album is nearly finished, and he’s giving us a taste of what he can do with the addictive single, “Remedy for Insanity.” This one is about the kind of love that enthralls you, that envelopes you so that you can’t focus on anything else.
